Abstract

These Regulations implement provisions of the Beekeeping and Bee Products Act, which makes provision for the control of bee industry and in particular concerns the prevention and control of pests and diseases affecting bees. The Regulations concern, among other things, registration and sanitary control of apiaries; extraction, preparation and packing of honey; prohibition of adulteration of bee products and control by Inspectors appointed under the Act; importation of bees, queen bees, bee supplies and bee products; standards and rules for the exportation of honey; grading of honey for exportation; control of honey destined for the local market.
