Abstract

The present Regulations enact the Bee Industry Act. The Regulations lay down provisions relating to the bee industry. In particular, section 3 establishes that to register as a beekeeper, a person must submit a completed registration form. The text – consisting of 13 sections – deals, amongst others, with the following aspects: registration of beekeepers, marking of codes in apiaries, information on location of apiaries, import permits, certificates of inspection, designated diseases, designated pests, reportable diseases, reporting diseases or pests and records.
