Entry into force notes
According to Section 13, this Federal Act comes into force on the first day of the month following its announcement.
Abstract

This Federal Act applies to the defense and eradication of infectious diseases of bees occurring in the country. The Act defines the relevant terms concerning Bee colony, apiary and epidemic occurrence, the persons involved (owners, authority, veterinarian officials) and the diseases regulated: Vicious foulbrood or American foulbrood, Infestation with the small hive beetle (Aethina tumida), Infestation with the Tropilaelaps mite (Tropilaelaps spp.), Varroosis if it is epidemic.
