Abstract The present Ordinance implements the directive 2000/60/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council establishing a framework for Community action in the field of water policy of 23 October 2000. In particular, the Ordinance lays down provisions relating to the inventories and classification of waters. The text consists of 16 articles divided into 4 Parts as follows: General provisions (I); Surface waters (II); Groundwater (III); Final provisions (IV). Thirteen Annexes are enclosed.
