Abstract The present Law lays down provisions relating to hunting in the Free State of Bavaria. The underlying principle is that the free living fauna is an essential part of the natural surroundings and it has to be conserved in its diversity. Its specific purpose is to conserve healthy animals in their natural living space, as well as to strenghten and secure such a space.
