The present Law enters into force on 1 January 1979.
Abstract

The present Law lays down provisions relating to hunting in the Free State of Bavaria. The underlying principle is that the free living fauna is an essential part of the natural surroundings and it has to be conserved in its diversity. Its specific purpose is to conserve healthy animals in their natural living space, as well as to strenghten and secure such a space. The text consists of 64 articles divided into 12 Parts as follows:Principles (I); Hunting grounds (II); Practice of hunting rights (III); Protection of game and their living space (IV); Promotion of hunting activities (V); Practice of hunting (VI); Hunting protection (VII); Damages (VIII); Trade in game (IX); Organization, competence, procedures (X); Penalties (XI); Transitional and final provisions (XII).
