Abstract The purpose of the present Ordinance is to imlement the Directive 2006/66/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council on batteries and accumulators and waste batteries and accumulators. Moreover, the Ordinance implements the Batteries Act (BGBl. I p. 1582). Article 1 establishes that as far as definitions of terms are concerned, article 2 of the above-mentioned Batteries Act is applicable.
