The Ordinance applies to surface waters generally used as bathing waters. In order to protect the life and health of people bathing in those waters during the season, the competent authority monitors the water quality by carrying out regular analysis of samples. Bathing water is unsuitable for bathing if it does not meet one of the microbiological parameters laid down in the Annex. The present Ordinance consists of 15 articles and 15 Annexes.
