Abstract

Two Boards are here established: the Bangladesh water Development Board and the Bangladesh Power Development Board. The water Board shall prepare for approval by the Government a comprehensive plan for flood control and development of water resources. It may draft schemes for parts of Bangladesh for purposes of water regulation or flood control. It shall have control over the flow of rivers and may prescribe irrigation and drainage standards. It may also direct owners of private land to undertake waterworks.
