Entry into force notes
This Act enters into force immediately.
Abstract

This Act Bangladesh livestock and livestock products, quarantine law, 2005 including all types of animals, namely: all mammals except humans; birds; reptiles; aquatic animals other than fish; and other established animals. Livestock or livestock products imported without a valid import license and health certificate even if the animal is not contagious or livestock products are not infected, the Government, in the prescribed manner may dispose of. In addition, the Act regulates animal carcass or animal product manufactured with: flesh, blood, bone, milk, eggs, fat, animal products, semen, embryo, hair, skin, etc. Confiscated animals or livestock products, furs, urine, equipment, grass, straw shall be transferred to the concerned livestock officer and destroyed or disposed according to the disposal of related measure.
