The Act establishes the Banana Industry Protection Board, whose composition, functions and powers are set in details in sections 4 to 13. Under section 14, the banana industry fund is continued in existence and has to be administered by the Board. Under section 20, a regulation may levy upon all growers of bananas an assessment as may be recommended by the Board. Provisions are made on inspections and on offences and penalties (sect. 27).
