The Act elaborates that wholesalers or retailers dealing with unpacked or improperly labeled food are held responsible for ensuring fortification compliance, and all parties involved must provide a warranty that the food meets the fortification requirements. The text further provides for registration with the Food Authority and commitment to fortify food; conduct of regular internal checks, rapid tests, and analyses to ensure that food is produced, packaged, labeled, stored, transported, and maintained in accordance with the Schedule's requirements. The Food Authority has the responsibility to define packaging standards for food to maintain its composition, quality, purity, and fortification.
