The Act prohibits work and employment of any person below the age of 18 in any hazardous occupation or any work that expose the person to physical, psychological or sexual abuse, or any work that is inherently dangerous in nature. The Act further provides for the work conditions in occupations that are light and attractive in nature and involves no risk, hazard or danger to the young person or adolescent. The Act lays out provisions for hours and period of work, weekly holidays, wages, education and vocational training, and disputes as to age. The Act contains 24 Articles and in the schedule refers to list of occupations and processes. Full text English
