In particular, the Regulation lays down provisions relating to the fight against bacterial ring rot in potatoes. Section 5 establishes that a person who discovers or suspects the presence of bacterial ring rot in potatoes in the field, in transit, in storage, at a processing plant or at a packing house must promptly notify an inspector about the discovery or suspicion.
