For the purpose of achieving these objects this Act makes also provision: for the determination of boundaries of the various regions and localities in Australia in which wine is produced; for the giving of identifying names to those regions and localities; and for the determination of the varieties of grapes that may be used in the manufacture of wine in Australia. Section 6 provides for the establishment of the Australian Wine and Brandy Corporation. One of the functions of the Corporation is to improve the production of grape products in Australia. Where the minister considers that an organization is a national organization which is representative of winemakers or wine growers, the Minister may, by notice in writing published in the Gazette, declare that organization to be a declared winemakers organization or a declared winemaker organization.
