The Act came into force on 3 May 2002.
Abstract

The order provides for those apparata producing ionizing radiations in order to ensure they shall not exceed 5 keV; that whoever is operating those apparata shall dispose of them when they are actually not functioning and that the seller and purchaser are licensed by the Atomic Energy Licensing Board.
