Those baselines constitute the outer limits of the archipelagic waters and the inner limits of the territorial sea of The Bahamas. Section 3 of the Archipelagic Waters and Maritime Jurisdiction defines the archipelagic waters of The Bahamas "as those areas of the sea enclosed by the baselines established in this section". Baselines shall be straight lines joining consecutive geographical coordinates and may be determined by the Governor-General in accordance with comma 2 of section 3.
