Abstract

The present Regulation lays down provisions relating to the issue of licences for arborists. Section 3 lists the necessary qualifications to obtain such a licence. Section 8 establishes that the Minister may appoint a committee for the purpose of making recommendations to the Minister in the following areas: a) Standards for arboricultural practices in Manitoba; b) Education, training programmes and practical experience necessary for the licensing of arborists; c) Any other matter the Minister deems appropriate. Furthermore, the Regulation deals with the following matters: Definition of terms, transitional licence, terms and conditions, licence renewal, licence expiry, licence suspension or cancellation, appointment of inspectors, etc. The text consists of 10 sections.
