The objects of this Act are to- (a) facilitate domestic and international trade and commerce by encouraging the use of arbitration as a method of resolving disputes; (b) facilitate and obtain the fair and speedy resolution of disputes by arbitration without unnecessary delay or expense; (c) facilitate the use of arbitration agreements made in relation to domestic and international trade and commerce; (d) facilitate the recognition and enforcement of arbitral awards made in relation to domestic and international trade and commerce; and (e) give effect to the UNCITRAL Model Law.
