Abstract The Aquaculture Sector Strategic Plan is a national policy with a cross-sectoral approach. The timeframe of the policy is 5 years between 2018 and 2023. The overall objective of this Strategic Plan is to ensure sustainable development of the aquaculture sector in order to achieve the targets to end hunger, enhance food security and improved nutrition, promote sustainable agriculture and to ensure sustainable development, effective use and management of the oceans, seas and marine and fisheries resources.
