Abstract

No person shall keep, rear or fatten farmed fish, whether as owner, part-owner or assistant, unless he holds a special licence from the Director of Agriculture and Fisheries. Licences are required for fish farms too (reg. 5). The minimum distance between fish farms shall be one kilometre (reg. 9). Extensions and alterations of fish farms shall be subjected to authorization (reg. 10). Regulations 11 and 12 concern the movement and importation of fish and fish products. Inspections may be carried out at any time on licenced premises (reg. 13).
