Abstract

The present Regulations enact the Fisheries and Coastal Resources Act. The Regulations lay down provisions relating to aquaculture licence and lease. For the purpose of the present Regulations “Registrar of Aquaculture” means a person designated by the Minister to keep records of aquaculture development areas, aquaculture licences and leases, aquaculture production records and other documents as may be prescribed. The text – consisting of 9 sections – deals with the following aspects: marine aquaculture lease sites, duties of holder of an aquaculture lease, reports and records, fees, removal of leasehold improvements and fish health.
