Abstract

This Chapter of the Oregon Revised Statutes (ORS) concerns appropriation of water generally. More specifically, it provides for registration of water for road construction, maintenance or reconstruction; geothermal wells; water use reporting; public ownership of waters; in­stream water rights; extension of irrigation season; valuation of water rights; public recapture of water power rights and properties; ponds and reservoirs; cancellation of permit for appropriation; conservation and use of conserved water; ground water; water right examiners and surveys; waste, spring and seepage waters; diversion of waters from basin of origin; geotechnical holes; and penalties.
