Abstract

These Regulations implement provisions of the Antiquities, Monuments and Museum Act, 1998, in respect of exploration licences and recovery licences in respect of underwater cultural heritage. The Minister shall not issue more licences than can be properly supervised, monitored and administered. The Regulations also, among other things: set the duration of licences and the maximum size area for an exploration licence; prohibit certain practices; provide with respect to inspections and qualifations of license holders; define application procedures.
