Abstract

This Act makes provision with respect to the manufacture, importation, handling, placing on the market, prescription and use of antibiotics. In this Act “antibiotic” means any of the substances specified in the Schedule and includes all compounds of, and all medicinal preparations containing, any of such substances. The Act also applies to use of antibiotics for animals. It establishes the Antibiotics Control Committee.
