Abstract

These Regulations, made under the Antarctic Act, 1994 of the United Kingdom, concern, among other things: an application for a permit under section 3, 4, 5 or 6 of the Act and relative environmental evaluation of the activity for which an application has been made; revocation and suspension of permits; appeals against revocation of permits; designation of areas restricted under the Protocol on Environmental Protection to the Antarctic Treaty; the designation of Antarctic Historic Sites and Monuments; the designation of places protected under the Convention; and offences under the Act.
