Abstract

In order to implement the decision of the State Council on the prohibition of fishing in the Yangtze River Basin, severely crack down the illegal market sales of illegal fishing catch from the Yangtze River Basin, cut off the market sales chain and protect the ecological safety of the Yangtze River Basin, the he General Administration of Market Supervision decided to carry out the special action of "banning fishing in the key waters of the Yangtze River basin and breaking the sales chain". Before December 31, 2020, it is forbidden to trade illegal catch from 332 natural reserves and aquatic germplasm resources reserves where fishing has been banned; from January 1, 2021, it is prohibited to trade illegal catch from the main stream of the Yangtze River and important tributaries thereof.
