Abstract

These Rules, issued by the Director-General of the Department of Fisheries under the first paragraph of section 86 of the Fisheries Ordinance of 2015 contain the list of designated ports for the landing or transshipment of fish by fishing vessels engaged in commercial fishery. Section 86 stipulates that, subject to section 87, no fishing vessel engaged in commercial fishing shall transship or land aquatic animals at any fishing port other than a fishing port registered under section 84 of the Ordinance or at a site that is a fish market, as designated by Notification of the Director General. The Notification of the Director-General under paragraph one may also specify the fishing vessel size that is allowed to transship or land aquatic animals at particular ports.
