Abstract

These Rules, issued by the Director-General of the Department of Fisheries under paragraph 5 of section 90 of the Fisheries Ordinance of 2015 concerns preparation of evidence for traceability purposes by a producer of aquatic animals or a processor of aquatic animals. The traceability shall be related to the lawfulness of aquatic animals or aquatic animal products obtained from fisheries activities. A manual covering traceability procedures regarding sources of raw materials, transportation, storage, production and export must be prepared. Producers or processors of aquatic animals must keep evidence and documents or records related to the examination of evidence for inspection for a period of not less than three years.
