Abstract

These Rules are made under section 35 of the Royal Ordinance on Fisheries by the Director of the Department of Fisheries. Section 35 requires any person wishing to engage in a fishing operation without using a fishing vessel to obtain a license from the Director-General or a person designated by the Director-General and comply with the rules, procedures and conditions prescribed by the Director-General or as stipulated in the license. The licence holder shall uses a fishing gear of the type and size prescribed by these Rules.
