Abstract

This Annex to the Presidential Regulation no. 111 of 2022, sets out the 2024 Sustainable Development Goal Targets according to the guidelines and the indications of the Regulation. The Annex details: global goals; global targets; 2024 Sustainable Development Goal Targets and Institutions in-charge. The following global goals are defined: 1) fight against poverty in all its forms; 2) achievement of food security, improvement of nutrition and promotion of sustainable agriculture, including the targets of doubling the agricultural productivity and incomes of small-scale food producers, in particular women, indigenous peoples, family farmers, pastoralists and fishers; the ensuring of a sustainable food production systems and implementing resilient agricultural practices to help maintain ecosystems, strengthen capacity for adaptation to extreme weather conditions, drought, flooding and other disasters and to improve land and soil quality; maintenance of the genetic diversity of seeds, cultivated plants and farmed and domesticated animals and their related wild species and improvement of utilisation of genetic resources and associated traditional knowledge; 3) ensuring healthy lives and promotion of well-being, including the targets of combating tropical, non-communicable and communicable diseases; the strengthening of the capacity of early warning, risk reduction and management of national and global health risks; 4) gender equality.
