The Court may order destruction of animals in specified cases of cruelty against animals. Section 5 prescribes a penalty for letting stay diseased animals in public places. Section 8 declares the sale, etc. of poisoned grain (to be used as feeding stuff) to be an offence. Section 12 concerns experiments on live animals and section 13 introduces restrictions on the performance of experiments on live animals. The Minister may grant or revoke licences to conduct experiments on live animals. Cases of cruelty against animals may be tried by Courts specified in section 16.
