Abstract

This Act seeks to protect all domestic or captive animals for cruel treatment and for this purpose defines various offences and grants powers to court to take measures in respect of animals that were subjected to cruel treatment. The Act also provides for compensation to owners of animals that were subject to cruel treatment and regulation-making powers of the Minister.
