Abstract

These Regulations, made under the Animals (Importation) Act 1983, place restrictions on the importation of specified dog breeds. The Administrator must not grant a permit to import any of the breeds list in regulation 2(a) and may authorize the importation of the breeds specified in regulation 2(b) if they meet the requirements listed in that regulation. The Administrator may also seek the advice of a practising veterinary.
