It also provides for guidelines in the use of animals for research activities (sect. 16), and requires the creation of an Animal Care Committee in every research facility (sect. 17). Section 18 deals with inspections, inspectors and their powers. The Act also contains provisions on offences and penalties and on matters that can be object of regulations.
