Abstract

These Regulations prescribe powers of an authorized officer for purposes of the Animal Diseases Act. The authorized officer may, among other things: (a) mark, for identification purposes, any animal found to be free from any disease; (b) seize, destroy or slaughter any animal found to be suffering from any infectious or contagious disease; and (c) direct owners to take certain measures. The owner of an animal who fails to comply with any direction issued under these Regulations commits an offence.
