Abstract

These Regulations, made under the Animals (Diseases and Imports) Act, provide rules for the importation of animals (not defined but including dogs, cats, cattle, pigs, sheep, goats, horses, rabbits, poultry and other birds). It also places restrictions on the importation of fodder, eggs, carcasses and litter. The Regulations concern, among other things: import control, prescribed points of entry, import health certificates, quarantine, special conditions for the importation of cats and dogs, and special conditions for cattle, pigs, sheep, goats, horses or rabbits, poultry and birds.
