"Experiment" means any experiment performed on an animal and calculated to give pain. No licensee shall perform any experiment except in accordance with the terms of his licence and subject to the restrictions imposed by this Act and a licensee shall not perform any experiment for the purpose of attaining manual skill (sects. 3 and 4). Section 6 places restrictions upon performance of experiments by licensee and defines the aims for which experiments may be carried out. Section 7 concerns the granting of licenses. The Minister may grant permits and special permits for specified experimenting pursuant to sections 8 and 9.
