Abstract

An Act to restrict the importation, exportation and possession of certain animals and plants, and parts of such animals and plants. The 22 sections of the Ordinance provide, inter alia, for: Transit of animals and plants (sect. 2a), restriction on the import of scheduled species (sect. 4), restriction on the export of scheduled species (sect. 5), restriction on the possession of schedules species (sect. 6), issue and renewal of licences (sect. 7), cancellation of licence (sect. 8), production of licence (sect. 9), power to require information (sect. 10), powers of search, etc. (sect. 11), (Minister may establish) Advisory Committee (sect. 14), Director to specify forms (sect. 15), appeals to the Governor (sect. 17), exemptions (sect. 18), power to amend Schedules (sect. 19).
