Part 1, Preliminary, Part 2 contains general welfare provisions that consider mishandling and mistreatment of livestock, dragging and/or lifting livestock, use of electric stock prod and use of dogs generally, among others. Part 3 focuses on provisions for the transport process and identifies firstly general duties for livestock transporter such as duty to maintain records. Part 3 then contains provisions concerning loading and unloading vehicles, requirements for livestock handling facilities (other than saleyards and depots) and more specifically duties and requirements to follow to ensure welfare of livestock during transport process.
