These regulations enter into force on 1 July 2013.
Abstract

These Regulations, consisting of six Parts and completed by one Schedule, under the Animal Welfare Act 1993, establish provisions for pig exploitation in order to avoid cruelty. They are divided as follows: Part 1 Preliminary; Part 2 pigs generally; Part 3 health and monitoring; Part 4 accommodation; Part 5 minimum space requirements; Part 6 miscellaneous; Schedule 1 infringement notices.
