The Regulations lay down provisions relating to the protection of animals. Section 4 establishes that with respect to animals kept for sale, hire or exhibition, the standards of design, construction and maintenance of facilities and the standards of care with which chickens, pigs, veal calves, mink, foxes and dairy cattle respectively shall be maintained, shall be those contained in the related Recommended Codes of Practice published by Agriculture Canada.
