Article 1 establishes that nobody shall kill an animal, nor causing it any pain or suffering of any kind. However the present Act does not apply to hunting and fisheries. Article 3 contains a definition clause relating to various terms therein employed, such as “domestic animal”, “wild animal”, “zoo”, “torture of animals”, etc. Part 2 contains principles relating to the keeping of animals and their transportation; Part 3 deals with slaughtering of animals; Part 4 contains regulations concerning experiments on animals and finally Part 5 contains provisions relating to competent authorities and general procedures.
