Abstract

The present Ordinance lays down provisions relating to the marking of pigs, sheep, goats and equine animals, as well as on the registration of keeping of animals. The text consists of 42 articles divided into 10 Parts as follows: Sphere of application, definition of terms and indications (1); Veterinary information system (2); Marking and marketing of pigs (3);Marking and marketing of sheep and goat (4); Duty to register (5); Marketing of earmarks and electronic devices (6); Identification of equine-animals (7); Marking of camels (8); Official controls (9); Final provision s(10). Three Annexes are enclosed.
