Abstract

This Act aims to facilitate the identification of animals, with the object of providing evidence of ownership. It provides for the registration, by the Director-General responsible for the administration of this Act, of identification systems which satisy certain quality requirements. Identification relates to (i) the distribution of; (ii) management practices relating to; and (iii) any other relevant characteristics of animals (sect. 3).
