Abstract

These Regulations make provision for measures to fight diseases affecting animals in Rodrigues. The owner of stock infected with a disease, or is suspected to be infected with a disease, shall report the fact to the Agricultural Officer. The Agricultural Officer, if satisfied that a disease exists on a land or place, shall declare any defined place or area of that land to be an infected area. In case there is reasonable suspicion that a disease may exist in any area, the Agricultural Officer may declare that area to be a suspected area. The Agricultural Officer may issue Orders in respect of an infected or suspected area.
