They place restrictions on the importation of live animal, carcase, egg, meat, meal, bone meal, fodder, litter, fresh or untanned hide, manure or other fertilizer of animal origin, provide for quarantine of diseased animals and in some cases, prohibit altogether the unloading of animals from ships.
