It is divided up into 19 sections as follows: 1 Definitions; 2 Notice of disease (every owner, breeder, dealer in, or person having custody of any animal who suspects that their animal is suffering from a disease, shall notify the nearest veterinarian or inspector. A veterinarian or an inspector who receives such a notification in writing, must notify the director.); 3 Powers of director (deals with examination, quarantine, treatment and disposal); 4 Destruction, exhumation and inspection of animals; 5 Sale or display of diseased animals (in this case any peace officer may seize and take the animal and notify the nearest veterinarian or inspector); 6 Inspectors (includes their powers and payment); 7 Infected place (this section deals with the procedure to be taken in declaring an area to be infected and lists what should not be removed, or taken to an infected place); 8 Proof of orders (an order is prima facie proof of the existence or suspicion of an infectious or contagious disease of animals and shall be received as evidence in all courts in the province); 9 Proof of inspector certificate; 10 Cleaning of vehicle or place, disposal of diseased carcasses; 11 Dead animal disposal; 12 Public sales yards inspection and licensing (this section includes details of permit for livestock yards, buyers and agents; form of application and fee Issue of permit); 13 Repealed; 14 Veterinary drugs; 15 Municipal compensation and grants re animal diseases; 16 Payment of compensation and grants; 17 Offences and penalties; 18 Appeal of order, powers of minister; 19 Regulations.
