Abstract This Regulation, of Three Parts, 34 Sections and One Annex, gives definitions and makes provisions for the registration, marking and transportation of cattle in Israel. Part One gives definitions. Part Two regards the registration of cattle and its marking procedures. Any cattle of Six months and older must be registered. Marking of cattle shall be according to this regulation. A person shall not try to remove or change a cattle mark. Section (14) regards procedures related to loss of registration card or marking label. Section (15) deal with returning of registration card or marking label of cattle’s death. Part Three regards cattle transportation. Section (17) prohibits any buying, selling and transportation of cattle unless registered and marked according to this regulation. Section (18) obliges the seller of cattle for slaughtering purposes to inform the government veterinarian doctor. Sections (19a) to (19(c)) regard the appointing if authorized cattle agents and their duties. Sections (20) to (25) regard procedures related to the issuing of transporters permits for who is not an authorized cattle agent. Section (26) deals with special cases in which the cattle reports missing information. The director of the slaughterhouse has the power to delay slaughtering until information is completed. Section (27) regards slaughterhouse duty to send all registering card of slaughtered cattle to the government veterinarian doctor. Section (28) gives powers to the government veterinarian doctor or an inspector to request to view the transportation permit from any cattle transporter. Sections (29) and (30) regards transportation taxes, levies and exempts. Sections (31) to (34) report general information. The Annex, reporting marking and labelling procedures has been omitted.
