Entry into force notes
This Act enters into force on 26 June 2004.
Abstract

The Act contains at the outset a definition clause relating to various terms therein employed such as, "domestic animals", "cattle", "fish", etc. Part 1 deals with safety measures in regard of sick animals. Then the Act prescribes further regulations for the prevention of animal diseases. Finally, the Act indicates the penalties in case of violation. There are also final and transitional provisions. Local authorities are responsible for the enforcement of this Act. The Act consists of 86 articles.
