This Act will enter into force on the date appointed by the Central Government, by notification on the Official Gazette.
Abstract

The Act consists of 47 articles divided into the following Chapters: Preliminary (I); Constitution of Andra Pradesh Water, Land and trees Authority (II); Groundwater protection measures(III); Surface water protection measures (IV); Trees (V); Miscellaneous(VI). The Act provides for the institution, function, tasks and responsibilities of the related Authority and particularly for: the registration of wells and the licence to drill wells and boreholes,the access to drinking water,rain water colle
